The show consists of one-hour episode where they feature the poker professionals. All of these pros buy-in for a least of $100k of their own money. Together, they would play a game of no-limit Texas Hold’em cash game. It is one of the first shows in the non-tournament format, which show how the professionals play against each other. As soon as the players bust out, they can re-buy in the game if they want and they can bet in any amount they want.

The first season of the High Stakes Poker was filmed exclusively at the Golden Nugget Casino whereas the second season was filmed at the Palms. Almost all the seasons were shot in Las Vegas. The poker show is hosted by the renowned poker player Gabe Kaplan and Aj Benza. One of the most unique things you would see on High Stakes Poker is that the players would deal twice in a heads-up hand. This means that as opposed to dealing one flop, they would deal two flops; therefore each player gets two chances to win or lose.
